Well folks, we’re doing it again!

In 1995, to celebrate Florida's 150th birthday, a group of cattlemen, historians and agriculturists drove 1,000 head of cracker cattle across the state.

On December 5 through 9, 2006 another extraordinary cattle drive
will take place.

WELCOME TO THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF:

THE GREAT FLORIDA CATTLE DRIVE '06 and the "Trails End" Florida Cow Culture Celebration!

For anyone who missed the Great Florida Cattle Drive back in '95, this is your chance to take part in another historical reenactment of Florida's great cattle drives. The 2006 event will take place in south Osceola County and it's a great way to see old friends and make new ones.

On December 6, 2006 “Cow Boss” Mike Wilder will lead the Cattle Drive '06, which will depart the Trails Head Camp on Canoe Creek Road (County Road 523) in South Osceola County early Wednesday morning and head south crossing historic locations such as Nine Cabbages, the Whaley Ranch, the native Florida wilderness of Three Lakes Wildlife Preserve, the North boundary of Lake Kissimmee, the Joe Overstreet Ranch, and many other long time working cattle ranches in the Heart of Florida's "Cow Country".

The public is invited to watch 500 trail riders, wagon drivers and Cow Hunters "Bring The Cattle In" on Saturday, December 9th, and celebrate this historic event by attending the "Trails End" Florida Cow Culture Celebration.
