EVENT

Breaking final camp on Sunday, December 10th.
REGISTRATION
FEES: PARTICIPANT
FEE - $200 for adults, $100 for children 12 and
under.
This cost also includes admission to the "TRAILS
END COW CULTURE CELEBRATION" on
Saturday, Dec. 9th (see "Trails End" page for details).
LIVESTOCK
FEE - $25
per horse. This
cost includes feed and hay for your animal during the Cattle
Drive. CHUCK WAGON FEE - $140
per person.
Since folks will be limited in the amount of supplies they can carry
while on the Drive - the Chuck Wagon fee is mandatory.
*IMPORTANT
NOTE: The Livestock
fee and the Chuck
Wagon fee will cover you and your animal for the following time
period only: Tuesday,
Dec. 5th evening (supper) thru Saturday, Dec.
9th morning (breakfast).
You must bring food for yourself and your stock for any time period
not included above. Food for human consumption can be
purchased over the weekend at the Trails End Celebration, however,
you must provide your own feed and hay for your animal while at the
Trails End Camp on Saturday and Sunday. Water will be available on
site.
REGISTRATION
DETAILS:
Due
to overwhelming interest ONLY the
first 500 individuals
to return their registration packet with their payment will be
officially registered and have a place reserved on the Cattle
Drive. In order to receive a registration packet just click
the "Registration" page to the left, and
you can download your own nine page registration packet. You
must then mail your completed forms, along with
the appropriate registration fees, to the Cattle Drive '06
Registration Committee address in the packet.
Return
Registration packets will be received on a "First Come, First Serve"
basis, with the Cattle Drive '95 Alumni given preference until
September 30, 2006. Alumni are advised to return their
registration packets upon receipt in order to be
guaranteed a spot on the Drive.
PRELIMINARY
RULES AND REGULATIONS:

No
trucks, trailers or campers on the Drive. Primitive camping
only. Because we will move your gear there is a 60 pound
limitation per person. Old time (1880) dress is requested. No
ball caps, tennis shoes or T-shirts. No dogs or stallions. All
horses must have a current negative coggins. Make sure your
animal is fit for a four day ride.
TRAILS
HEAD: Whaley
Ranch, Canoe Creek Road (County Road 523), South Osceola
County. Check-In will open at Noon on Tuesday, December
5th. All Pre-Registered participants must check in at the
Trail Head camp by 4pm on Tuesday. For your convenience the
Trails Head camp will open at Noon on Monday, December 4th.
Remember to bring extra supplies for you and your livestock if you
arrive on Monday. We will assist participants in moving their
rigs from the Trails Head location to the Trails End location on
Tuesday.
Participants
must be prepared to break camp at 7am Wednesday morning and head out
on the Cattle Drive.

“Cow
Boss” Mike Wilder will lead the Cattle Drive, which will depart the
Trail Head Camp on Canoe Creek Road (County Road 523) in South
Osceola County early Wednesday morning and head south crossing
historic locations such as Nine Cabbages, the Whaley Ranch, the
native Florida wilderness of Three Lakes Wildlife Preserve, the
North boundary of Lake Kissimmee, the Joe Overstreet Ranch, and
many other long time working cattle ranches in the Heart of
Florida's "Cow Country".
