ALL
PARTICIPANTS:
1. PARTICIPATE
AT YOUR OWN RISK. The Cattle Drive ’06 Committee is
not responsible for loss or damages to you, your livestock, or your
equipment.
2.
Only
the first 500 individuals to return the required registration forms
along with the appropriate fees will have a place reserved on the
Drive, with preference given to the Cattle Drive ’95 Alumni until
September 30, 2006.
3.
*Check-in
officially opens at Noon on Tuesday, December 5th.
All pre-registered cattle drive participants, wagons & stock
must be signed in no later than 4pm on Tuesday, December
5th at the “Trails Head” camp:

*Camp opens at Noon on Monday, December 4th. All
pre-registered participants arriving on Monday must bring extra food
and water for yourself and your livestock. The first meal from the
Chuck Wagon will be served Tuesday evening (supper). The feed and
hay will not be brought in until Tuesday, as well. We will assist
you in moving your rig to the "Trails End" camp in Kenansville on
Tuesday.
4.
Participants
will be limited in the amount of supplies they can carry while on
the Drive (primitive camping only) therefore, registration for the Chuck
Wagon is mandatory. Seminole Feed is once again providing the
feed and hay for our livestock during the Drive. To make this event
enjoyable for you and your animal MAKE SURE TO BRING EXTRA FOOD,
WATER, FEED & HAY FOR THE TIME PERIODS WE ARE NOT ON THE DRIVE.
The Chuck Wagon and Seminole Feed supplies will only be available
while we are on the Drive - that is - from Tuesday evening through
Saturday morning. Make sure you have extra supplies for yourself and
your animal for the time periods prior to and following the
Drive. We
will haul 60 pounds of gear from campsite to campsite for each paid
participant.
5.
Every
participant must display armband at all times.
6.
The
Cattle
Drive ’06 Committee is arbiter of all
rules and infractions, all decisions are
final.
7.
The
Wagon Master and Circle Bosses are in charge. Their purpose is to
keep us on schedule, moving in an orderly fashion, and to keep us
all safe.
8.
No
one under 18 years of age is permitted on the Cattle
Drive without parent or legal
guardian.
9.
All
participants may bring up to 60 pounds of gear which we will haul
from campsite to campsite.
10.
No
consumption of alcoholic beverages while on horseback or on the
Drive. Drunkenness will not be tolerated.
11.
No
dogs or stallions. NO
EXCEPTIONS.
12. Traditional
1800’s or western clothing only. No T-shirts, shorts, tennis shoes
or ball caps on the Drive or in camp. NO
EXCEPTIONS.
13.
No
unauthorized motor vehicles in camp after 6:00pm Tuesday, December
5th.
14.
No
bathing or soap of any kind in water troughs.
15.
You
are responsible for keeping and leaving your campsite clean.
Remember we are guests while on the Trail.
16.
Fill
all fire pits and practice safe use of fire. Always have at least
five gallons of water at all fires at all
times.
17.
No
firearms except law enforcement and permitted
re-enactors.
18.
No
littering or loitering on the Trail.
19.
No
excessive profanity or horseplay. Plan to have a quiet camp after
midnight.
20.
You
must be able to control your stock at all times. (Kids
included)
21.
All
horses and mules must have negative E.I.A. (coggins). Out-of-state
equines must have health certificates as well. Make sure your mount is fit
for a four day ride.
22.
Cruelty
or abuse to animals will not be tolerated. Penalty will be dismissal
from the Drive.
23.
All
participants are required to break camp and be prepared to move out
at the appointed time. There will be no “sleeping in”, “catching
up”, or “straggling”.
24.
All
participants will attend a scheduled “briefing”, as
required.
25.
Use
good sense and common courtesy at all times and the Drive will be
enjoyable for everyone.
26.
Refusal
to follow the rules may result in dismissal from the
Drive.
